Tell Me Why …
… I hate Hayley I mean Tuesdays?
I still haven’t heard anything from Blizzard regarding my WoW account, which sucks, and City of Heroes/Villains went down for a couple of hours. I’m pretty down about not having my WoW account, if I’d known it’d be potentially 3+ weeks until I get my account back I wouldn’t have bothered reporting it. I could have made back what I lost in a few days. But anyway.
I’ve been having fun with City of Heroes, I’ve made two new characters to experiment with classes, I mean archetypes I haven’t tried before.
Cinder Scorcher, a Fire Blast/Fire Manipulation Blaster (Strong Ranged Attack, basically a Fire-specced Mage in WoW) and Twilight Rhapsody a Dark Miasma/Dark Blast Defender (Medium Ranged Attack with Emphasis on Debuffs, no real equivalent in WoW).
It’s interesting how different the classes work in CoH compared to WoW. In WoW you have attack, melee attack and healing with pretty much all classes having some kind of crowd control or support element, polymorph for mages, sap for rogues, buffs for shaman etc. In CoH however you have ranged attack (Blasters), melee attack (Scrappers), crowd control (Controllers), support (Defenders) and tanking (Tankers). There isn’t much, if any, mixing of roles in City of Heroes.
This makes it feel pretty unique, that along with the absolutely great character customisation and the amount of choices you have for powers in each class means your character will always feel and look pretty unique, something which WoW fails pretty badly, especially when it comes to character looks.
I still can’t wait to get my WoW account back though… but less QQ more PewPew for me…
