The Cake Is A Lie! Or Is It?
I finally got around to finishing both Portal and Half-Life: Episode Two and both games have genius endings. Episode Two has a corker of a shock that I truly wasn’t suspecting, even though with hindsight it had some pretty heavy foreshadowing. It definitely leaves you wanting Episode Three so you can “Finish the Fight”.
Portal has the best game end-credits song that I can remember, it ties up a few plot points and the ending in a unique and fun way, the actual credit sequence itself is really fun. The game itself is a real brainteaser and has a really disturbing and uneasy atmosphere that had me on edge the whole time.
Really great games, back to WoW later….
