Here Fishy Fishy!
I’ve been levelling Twigger’s fishing and cooking skills over the last few days, it’s surprised me how quick they are going up compared to what I thought they would do.
I’m following the guide on Lootables and so far I’m at 225/300 fishing and 273/300 cooking. I’m going to be focussing on my fishing for the rest of the afternoon/evening, so hopefully can get close to 300 fishing by tonight.
Fishing is probably the most tedious to level as the skill itself doesn’t affect how fast you level. It’s simply based on the amount of fish caught meaning from 1 - 375 is (based on my very rough math skills and using the table at El’s Angling) around 2177 fish on average.
A cast can last 22 seconds with a bite usually occurring at either the half-way mark or 3 seconds from the end. Assuming half way before the cast ends makes that roughly 6.5 - 7 hours of perfect fishing (meaning pretty much instant loot and cast), this is also without the chance of no bites and a multitude of other variables. El’s Angling gives an estimate of 10 hours of straight fishing to go from 1 - 375.
It’s a BIG investment of time, to what essentially works out as, Cast, Right-Click, Left-Click, Cast repeatedly…
Still, at least I only plan on doing it on Twiggers…… I do only plan on doing it once right?
