It’s all over!

April 21st, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized

Well yesterday was mine and Joanne’s final day at Anglian Water and it was a fairly surreal day.

Boris the Venus Flytrap

“The Temps” that were leaving got goodbye gifts, we got a REALLY, REALLY cool Venus Flytrap (named Boris….. from Outer Space…..), some re-fridgerated core water bottles (which will be REALLY handy for our new found bike riding “hobby” :D) and a girlfriend for Baby Michael (who is a small orange ted with Michael across his belly) who can be drawn on then washed clean… I’m sure Baby Michael will enjoy that!

Jeannie bought us both a mug, one was VERY special because it had a du-duck on it!

All in all we were completely and utterly blown away at how much effort people spent on us and the thought involved in the gifts!

After the embarrassing ritual of being given said gifts, it was time for FOOD.

The group went to Woodcocks where we all had a drink and a wonderful meal.
We took a bunch of photos (which you can see on the bar to the right), the best of which are on my Flickr here!

I have to give a huge amount of thanks to all the people who put up with us over the last six months, especially the ones who came into regular daily contact with us, you will all be missed.

Laura, Liz, Helen, Gail and Claire… Stay in touch! :)

(Oh, I almost forgot the awesome King Pot Noodles from Laura!!!!!)

Hi you two! We didn’t make it to Retford, to be honest I think we have both been a bit down this weekend. Monday was depressing, I so wanted to come to work! I thought about you all at 8am!

Boris is fine, we check on him several times daily, he is sat looking pretty in our kitchen window.

Lucy has been all excited but she still gets me up at work time for her morning walkies! We have discovered this week what she gets up to during the day, she curls up in a tiny ball on top of Geoffrey the penguin. Geoffrey doesn’t looked too chuffed about it but he stays quiet to keep the peace!

I WON £97 ON THE LOTTO ON SATURDAY! Four numbers woooo!

Anyway, that’s all our news, hope you are both well!

Thanks for commenting! Say Hi to everyone for us!

Love from Jo, Simon, Lucy, Boris, Teds and Skin Teddies xxxxx

has pokemon made you any happier? where’s boris watch, has he grown yet or is he dead?

  4. bocakey Says:

    Hi Liz!

Pokemon has made me VERY HAPPY! Since it arrived last Thursday at 11.10 am, I have played for over sixty hours. Gotta catch em all! It’s funny cos last night I caught “Chatot” and you can use your voice to record a noise for his attack. My Chatot says “Cockbasket”. So now when he is attacking another Pokemon, he screams COCKBASKET!

Boris is very much alive and kicking and is threatening to take over the kitchen. I would say that his “long thing that sticks up” has grown by at least an inch YAY! He has started talking now, each morning the first thing I do is check he is ok and he has started telling me that he wants to eat Lucy. It looks like we are going to have to keep those two apart ;)
“Boris Watch” should now be on view, there will be another pic this Saturday.

We hope you guys are all well, don’t work too hard!

Ooooh, message for Laura: Haha Liverpool are in the final and United aren’t!

    Take Care
